Uniform

At Springfields we want all pupils to feel proud to be part of our school community. An important part of feeling like we belong comes from our school uniform. At Springfields pupils wear:

A choice of four Black Springfields Jumpers that can be worn in the classroom and/or for P.E/Physical and Sensory activities:

• Black Springfields Sweatshirt
• Black Springfields Zip Sweatshirt
• Black Springfields Fleece
• Black Springfields Hooded Top

• Grey Springfields Polo Shirt
• Black trousers/Shorts/Skirt/Skort
• Black school shoes
• Girls - Navy check Summer Dress or Jumpsuit

PE Kit:

• Springfields PE T-shirt
• Springfields PE Shorts
• Black jogging bottoms/leggings 
• Trainers

Many of our pupils have sensory needs and we will make reasonable adjustments regarding uniform to ensure our pupils are comfortable. Your child's teacher/tutor will plan any adjustment need with you.

Exceptional uniform requests against this policy must be made to Nicola Whitcombe, Headteacher via nicola.whitcombe@springfieldsacademy.org and will be agreed in writing if considered a reasonable adjustment. 

Other Items:

• Hair should be comfortable and suitable for school and not be what could be considered an 'extreme' hairstyle. Rainbow colours, Tram lines or a 'Mohawk' are examples of what is not acceptable/suitable. 
• Piercings - one earing in each ear is acceptable for school. More than one earing and facial piercings are not acceptable. All piercings should be taken out or covered for P.E., Physical and Sensory sessions.

Buying/Ordering Uniform:

Our uniform provider is Scholars who have a range of outlets in Wiltshire and Bath and offer a home delivery service, which includes next day delivery.

 We want staff to equally feel part of our school community. An optional staff uniform is also available from Scholars. When visiting the academy you may see a range of staff wearing royal blue sweatshirts, polo shirts and fleece with the academy's logo.
