Therapy at Springfields

To build safe, independent lives for autistic young people through support, understanding and enablement.

Our Therapeutic Approach:

We pride ourselves on our 'Therapy first' approach within our provision, we acknowledge that many of our pupils require specific therapies as a foundation to learning, to enable learning and to support each child to reach their full potential. Our multi-disciplinary Therapy Team work in close partnership with education and care staff to ensure that therapeutic approaches are integrated within the curriculum and embedded in our approaches to all pupil experiences.

Our curriculum benefits from integrated therapies in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Wellbeing support. In addition, our young people benefit from discrete therapeutic support as identified in their EHCP or through staff assessment. Our tiers of therapeutic provision enable our young people to access the curriculum effectively so they can make maximum progress. In addition to the diversity of the ‘in house’ therapy offer, pupils also benefit from accessing the Wiltshire Local Offer and the expertise within the local authority and local health trusts.
